PROM

Last night was my prom and this is my dress. We decided to make it as i couldn't find anything exceptional in the shops and mum wanted to make it. The bodice is B5814 and the skirt from McCalls 5588 vintage Pauline Trigère pattern. My jewellery was my great-grandma's so late 1950s-60s. The fabric was a black wool crepe.

I'm really pleased with how it came out I was aiming for Joan Holloway with Pippa Middleton-esque skirt with a dash of Audrey Hepburn. Interestingly Pauline Trigère designed her black dress for the film. It fit so perfectly and I'm sad that I won't be wearing it again anytime soon.
